Se tu viesses ver me hoje à tardinha - Florbela Espanca

Se tu viesses ver-me hoje à tardinha,
A essa hora dos mágicos cansaços,
Quando a noite de manso se avizinha,
E me prendesses toda nos teus braços...
Quando me lembra:
esse sabor que tinha a tua boca...
o eco dos teus passos...
O teu riso de fonte...
os teus abraços...
Os teus beijos...
a tua mão na minha...
Se tu viesses quando,
linda e louca,
Traça as linhas dulcíssimas dum beijo

Day breaks: The whole of yesterday went falling - Pablo Neruda

XLIX From: ‘Cien sonetos de amor’

Day breaks: the whole of yesterday went falling
among fingers of light and eyes of dream,
tomorrow will arrive with green footsteps:
no one holds back the river of dawn.

No one holds back the river of your hands,
the eyes of your dream, beloved.
You are the tremor of time that runs
between light on end and darkened sunlight.

And the sky closes over you its wings
lifts you and brings you to my arms
with exact, mysterious courtesy.

For this I sing to the day and the moon,
to the sea, to time, to every planet,
to your diurnal voice, to your nocturnal flesh.

Throbs of Fiery Despair - by Tisha

In memory of Ishmael Abbas

Each sunset brought the dread of disaster,
of fear, of terror, raining from the sky.
The drone of aircraft, hurtling missiles
over city, citizens and innocents!
But why?
For Freedom? For Liberty?

For a better life?
or for richness; for greed and for strife?
Blinding light, deafening blast,
excruciating pain as missile strikes
obliterating all family and future life.
Burning fire, blinding horror;
the stench of bodies turning coal
imprinted in his soul forever.
Sickening silence;
no father, nor brother,
just mother´s pregnant body
pulverised into oblivion;
shrieks of girlish terror,
mixed with Ali´s shout:
"Please Mommy, don´t leave me now!
I´ll pick you up; I´ll comfort you,
But alas!
My arms are gone!"

Fluid brown, almond eyes,
bewildered and suffering
unmentionable agony,
implore:
"Oh God! Is this Freedom?"

Alas Ali:
"Freedom´s just another word
when there´s nothing left to lose!"

The poem was published in London and New York
in a Poetry Anthology called:
"Theater of the mind"
Author´s Note:

Twelve-year-old Ali´s horrific plight, after his family home was pulverized by a massive USA missile attack on Bagdade,

left him armless and severely burned,
traumatized for life,
has seared my soul and made me cry out
in utter helplessness at the futility and gross injustice!
His imploring brown almond eyes;

terrified and in absolute agony,
have become the symbol of ALL the innocents
maimed and killed in that illegal war in Iraq.

To Ali´s five-month pregnant mother,

on whose lap the terrified child was seeking shelter,
his father, brothers and sisters,
and thousands of other ANONYMOUS VICTIMS,
my deepest respects!
REST IN PEACE!!

Withdrawal Symptoms - Tisha

The storm wild, the sea running high,
Darkness - overwhelming sensation of drowning.
A spinning wheel of feeling, confusion, despair,
craving, desire, daydreaming, emotion.
Complete consonance of congenial craving,
convulsive honey-suckle ecstasy.
Spinal sensation, sensitive skin,
hallucinating desire for satisfaction.
disintegrating dejection distilling desire,
dissipating, suffocating distortion.
Dull pain of memory, hellish dungeon of solitude.
Ecstasy - indulgence of fantasy.
Dangling in space,
total consonancy
convergent fate.

Quem morre? -- Pablo Neruda

Morre lentamente
Morre lentamente
quem faz da televisão o seu guru.
Morre lentamente
quem evita uma paixão,
quem prefere o negro sobre o branco
e os pontos sobre os "is"
em detrimento de
um redemoinho de emoções,
justamente as que resgatam
o brilho dos olhos,
sorrisos dos bocejos,
corações aos tropeços e sentimentos.
Morre lentamente
quem não vira a mesa
quando está infeliz com o seu trabalho,
quem não arrisca o certo pelo incerto
para ir atrás de um sonho,
quem não se permite
pelo menos uma vez na vida,
fugir dos conselhos sensatos.
Morre lentamente
quem não viaja,
quem não lê,
quem não ouve música,
quem não encontra graça em si mesmo.
Morre lentamente
quem destrói o seu amor-próprio,
quem não se deixa ajudar.
Morre lentamente,
Morre lentamente,
quem abandona um projecto
antes de iniciá-lo,
não pergunta sobre
um assunto que desconhece
ou não responde quando
lhe indagam sobre algo que sabe.
Evitemos a morte em doses suaves,

recordando sempre
que estar vivo exige
um esforço muito maior
que o simples fato de respirar.
Somente a perseverança
fará com que conquistemos
um estágio esplêndido de felicidade.

Anais Nin´s Quotes

"The body is an instrument

which only gives off music

when it is used as a body.

Always an orchestra,

and just as music traverses walls,

so sensuality traverses the body

and reaches up to ecstasy".

"Eroticism is one of the basic means

of self-knowledge, as indispensable as poetry".

"Anxiety is love's greatest killer.

It makes one feel as you might

when a drowning man holds unto you.

You want to save him,

but you know he will strangle you

with his panic".

"We write to taste life twice,

in the moment, and in retrospection".

"I seek only the high moments.

I am in accord with the surrealists,

searching for the marvellous".

Blog Confessions - by Tisha

It's only a lonely fantasy.
Tired and all alone,
I desire to reach out
and touch you and being touched.

In the early morning hours,
while contemplating the emptiness
around me and the silence of the night,
the complete absence of warmth and sound...

I feel an intense pain on my heart
suffocating me.
If I don't wake up to see the sunrise,
will anyone care?
Will anyone feel my absence?
Will I ever be part of the fondest memories
of someone special?
Or just a forgotten name,
a brief glimpse of existence,
that burned out like a shooting star
in a brief second
and disappeared in the twilight?

Não te amo mais - Clarisse Lispector

Não te amo mais.
Estarei mentindo e dizendo que
Ainda te quer como sempre quis.
Tenho certeza que
Nada foi em vão.
Sinto dentro de mim que
Você não significa nada.
Não poderia dizer jamais que
Alimento um grande amor.
Sinto cada vez mais que
Já te esqueci!
E jamais usarei a frase
EU TE AMO!

Pura arte... pura genialidade...

inventei brumas, lagos densos,
Esperança minha, onde meus olhos bebem, fundo,
como quem bebe a madrugada.

Que vale esta vida? - W.H. Davies (1871-1940)

Lighthouse Fantasy - by Tisha

Calm is the deep and purple sea,
Stars without a name, murmur in the wind,
while the soul sleeps in the beams of light.
A bright torch, intermittent -
piercing the moon-lit night.
In some untrodden region of my mind,
that undisturbed song of pure content.
In the midst of this wide quietness
there shall be caresses - soft delight,
while winds gently blow,
flaming fire in the breast
Ocean shining in the silver beam of the moon-star,
in the autumn night calm is the deep and shining sea.
The moon, amorous glow-worm of the sky,
shining on the black-winged night,
intermittent light, piercing...
loveliest vision, so bright!
while the soul sleeps in the beams of light
In the midst of this wide quietness
there shall be sweet caresses - soft delight.
Amorous glow-worm of the sky!
Sweet night! Fervent, flaming fire!
Silver beam, piercing delight!
Fantasy house of light!

Unfinished Sensations at Batalha - by Tisha

Through the intricate ornate lattice stonework,

the sun's rays kisses my silken skin
with champagne kisses,

while the wind whispers yearnings
of unfulfilled desire...

Hidden in the shadows
are forbidden secrets,

unseen by the outsider...

unfinished touches
in an incomplete sanctuary of senses.

Even during the day,
the half moon is visible
above the unfinished chapel,

creating waves of unfinished sensations
of nostalgic promises,

desires, longings, fear of loneliness,
rejection, misery.

An incomplete task of unfinished emotions.

The unfinished chapel of Batalha.

Te quero dizer...... - by Tisha

Te quero dizer....
palavras em tons de cereja,
com gotas de orvalho,
com cheiro de jacintos amarelos;
algas adormecidas no azul da água.

O teu corpo alegre,
os teus olhos luminosos, infinitos;
papoilas vermelhas transparentes,
vinho da videiras nobres.

A tua voz solta, ardente,
trémula de emoção e desejo;
O teu rosto transcende esperanças.
A tua lembrança acalma o meu mar tempestuoso,
a minha solidão, não volta a espreitar.

A majestade do teu corpo cristalino
em segredos confundidos.
A intensidade da nossa paixão
é como um esplêndido amanhecer,
ardente como o fogo.

Quero dizer te....
recordando a tua boca, rosa redonda,
o espesso perfume da tua pele..
e estremecemos em total embriaguez
do delírio dos sentidos.

Complete Surrender - by Tisha

Complicity, expectation

Nervous antecipation,

Joy of reencounter

Instant recognition;

Discovering an instant desire;
Trembling emotion.

Scented oily caresses,

Deliciously sensual.

Soft, silky skin surrenders,

Inviting mutual stimulation.

Primal odour, burning fire;

Pulsating need of satisfaction.

Rounded softness,

Whispered supplications,

Ahhh...to reach the ultimate ecstasy
of total and complete surrender!

Bloody Footprint - by Tisha

Terror filled screams,
mixed with excruciating pain,
blood streaming from multiple wounds,
the stench of death filling the air
....
walking away from the horror,
leaving behind only a bloody footprint,
symbol of the victims' pain and suffering.
Symbol of survival
while surrounded by death and destruction.

A better world?
An impossible fantasy.

A World without suffering?
Without hatred?
Without terror?
Without abuse?
Without war?

Just a bloody footprint.

Symbol of the incredible state of terror

created by the war mongers,
the imperialists, the greedy,
the disregarders of basic human rights,
the abusers, the torturers.
War criminals.
Aggressors.
Discriminators.
