Swaying in the summer breeze
facing the glorious dawn with glee;
or observing the distant sunset,
flaming red on the horison,
or resisting the midday sun,
or the sweltering heat in the afternoon;
or drinking in the early morning dew,
or the ranging stormy rain,
sometimes silent witness to lovers' encounters,
admiring the full moon's reflection
on an open, calm sea,
are these dangling grass seeds,
which are here today;
but gone tomorrow.
Just like fleeting moments
of existence, flimsy,
insecure, temporary,
awaiting a rebirth.

THE LAST HORIZON
ReplyDeleteThe last horizon
of my way...
A new land of sweetness...
a promised caress...
an universe of happiness...
...are about to fade away...
lightless stardust,
made of despair...
shivering clouds...
rains of crystals...
Winds aware
of their shouts...
waves and seas...
storms of feelings,
crying in the dark...
wingless bees...
adjourned meetings...
frontiers that mark
the no-trespassing skies...
orphans and widows
looking for love
responding to their cries...
a thousand lost shadows
flying well above
the cosmic limits...
... come all near me...
surround me...
drown me...
erase me
from the face of earth…
take me with you
to an empty land..
..be sure...
I will understand!...

What a thought-provoking poem. I have already read it many times, and each time, I find something new to think about. THANK YOU so much for sending it to me.
